Obi's here!

Well, Joey's older cousin, Obadiah made it to the world yesterday! He weighed in at 7 lbs. 3.6 oz. and 20 inches long. He's got a TON of hair all over his little noggin! Very cute baby :) Mom is doing good and resting. Please pray for her as much as you can! She's also got a 2 year old on her hands!
Joey's been good. He's been kicking a lot the last couple of days. While I was out sick on Monday, he was pretty quiet. He didn't move much last weekend - Saturday through Monday, maybe he knew his mama was sick :( I am doing much better now, still a little sniffly and my throat hurts occassionally, but I'm doing well. The Braxton Hicks come and go, every 2-3 days and only last about 5 minutes - that's a good sign things are progressing well!
After this next appointment, I'll be going every week - exciting! I'm excited to see what my little booger looks like! I hope he gets my height ;o)
Will created a website as well. It's at:

Check it out whenever you have a free moment. We'd love your feedback!
Until next time :)

Been awhile...

Well, it's been awhile since I've hopped on here and informed you all of the new happenings :)

Let's see, I'm 31 weeks along now and about ready to have my showers. Thanks to the lovey Joy at my work, I'm fortunate and very grateful to be receiving two showers for my little one. I'm very excited too! I can't wait to get some fun and cute stuff for my little man! My mom and aunt are putting on my shower here in Portland - it will be lots of fun!

I'm also putting up some newer pictures of me. Some of them are Joey's room - not completely put together, but for the most part Will and I are DONE with everything! It was pretty exhausting assembling the furniture, but it was exciting too. Soon our little one will be in the crib crying for us at night! teehee :)

This and that

Hey ya'll! Just wanted to let you know that I had a pretty good Christmas. Will and I have decided to go our separate ways. He'll be enlisting with the Marines in order to provide a more stable and better life for Joey. That does mean that he'll be leaving soon to forecasting school - so hopefully after Joey is born (or maybe during that weekend he's due!) he'll be able to come up and see his son. I'm not too happy that we have to be separate, but as some of you know, it's for the better. We both are very happy and excited to welcome our new little love into the world, and I have no doubt that either of us will have a hard time being around one another. Regardless of what happened, we still have the decency to be around each other in a civilized manner - which is good! :)

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks:

Snowed like crazy for a little more than a week. This is nothing compared to what came in..but it was still nice to have a white Christmas!

This is our little man's outfit home, too cute!

This was taken during Christmas. Weird story, but I caught a glimpse of what my hair might look like shorter - and although this isn't exactly what I want it to look like, it's still pretty damn close :) What do ya think?

Revision to "It's a..."

I'm having a boy!! For those that have read my last post, I made mention of the baby's name. Well, since some things have happened - I've reconsidered naming him. I'm going to give my baby my last name.
Things with the father are unfortunately not going well, and we have to separate. Though we're very happy and looking forward to our new life, it's for the better that we're apart from each other. Not exactly a great situation, but at least Joey will have both of his parents.
I'm naming him Josiah after my great grandfather, Josiah Collins Haggard. Joey for short ;o)

Moving! For work...

Today is the last day my firm is in the KOIN building...it's pretty neat being a part of this building - but of course we all have to just move on!
We move to the Pearl District this weekend. I'm looking forward to the pretty streets and nice restaurants, but not so much paying for them!
Tomorrow I find out the results for the sex of my little booger. As soon as I know I'll fill ya'll in!

This one's for you Ryan

Yesterday I received some very upsetting and sad news. My cousin, Ryan, who has been serving the Lord in Malawi, Africa was in a car accident. He was with a friend, Pastor Munkondya, when the accident happened. They reached the top of a hill and noticed a car going out of control towards them. My cousin tried to avoid colliding with this car, but was unable to control his car as the pavements were wet. He took most of the impact, and saved the life of his friend Pastor Munkondya.

My cousin's selfless act was not only hard to comprehend at first but it was something inspirational for me. To value life, and live life fully. Have no regrets and learn to be happy and appreciative of each and every day God gives us. He was a wonderful man, dedicated father and husband, and most importantly a great servant to the Lord. He sacrificed so much to do God's work - something that isn't easy for most of us to do as we live our day to day lives. But he did it without complaint and with blessings from all of his family. He will be missed very much, and I'm so very proud of him. Please pray for his little girls Anna, Lydia, and Ella and of course his wife Katie as they go through this difficult time.

Rest in peace with the Lord forever and always Ryan. We love you and miss you!

First blog - 20 wks

Hello everyone! This is my first post, so I hope I can inform you as much as possible. I will be 20 weeks along on Thursday, December 11th. The next day on the 12th I have my first appointment with my new clinic out in Beaverton. I'm very excited for this check up because we will be doing an ultrasound and I will be finding out the sex of my little booger!! My mom thinks it's a boy, I think it's a girl...we'll see - it can go either way!

Will and I moved into our nice little apartment at the end of November. Pictures soon to come! We decorated the place with Christmas goodies, so it's pretty festive in our little nook. We haven't gotten the baby room up and running just yet - but we're working on it.

That's all for right now - once Friday comes along, I'll let you know what the sex of our little baby is. Toodles!
